The daughter of the revered Queen Lucifel, Ava was once the benevolent princess of Malidus, the Realm of the Dead. Her duty was to tend to the souls that were recently deceased, and to temper those who may grow strong enough to take physical form again as a demon. If a demon were to seek permission to leave Malidus for a short time to live among the mortals in Celveryia, they had to prove to Ava they had the strength and discipline to do so without disrupting the world's balance- only then would they be allowed to seek permission from Lucifel Herself to gain leave.

Ava held her mother and her aunt Alruene in high regard. The Sisters maintained the balance of Dark and Light, and their chosen lesser gods known as the Cardinals maintained balance over the elements.

During the absence of Alruene in her century long sleep, the Cardinals grew paranoid towards the power mortals were gaining and they began their war against Lucifel. Ava was sealed outside of Malidus by Lucifel, the princess forced to observe the war from afar without being able to aid her mother. Eventually, Lucifel was killed and the Cardinals began their genocidal sweep of the demons of Malidus and the magical creatures of Celveryia.

The loss of her mother and the absence of her aunt drove Ava insane. She would eventually hear of Cipher's battle against the Cardinals, and his inevitable victory. Believing it was her right to take the lives of the Cardinals herself, she grew vengeful of the demon that made it his mission to restore balance to Celveryia. Like Cipher, she  was aware the Cardinals would one day reincarnate, and when they do, she swears she will be the ones to take their lives again- as well as the lives of Cipher and his Generals.

And then she would purge the realm of life itself. Celveryia would be her new Realm of the Dead, and then Alruene can start a realm of life anew.
